We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to join the team

We want someone to join us in the office and integrate into the team in Lymm Cheshire.

What you’ll do as a Web Developer 

  • Full stack web development (PHP/HTML/SASS/JS) using a variety of tools and platforms to include mainly Wordpress & Laravel, bringing to life immersive UX & Design.
  • Create connections tailored to different clients that integrate with different services, using a variety of third party APIs
  • Collaborate with other members of the wider team to produce readable and maintainable code
  • Work with the Client Team to aid in any technical planning needed and assessing technical requirements where required
  • You may also just be required to help with some general technical issues where required.

About YOU and your background:

  • You have been in a development role for over two years and take pride in the code you write
  • You have a progressive mindset when you work with tech and people
  • You are a self-starter who is happy to create the vision, own the delivery of tasks you are set, and get code deployed
  • You have the ability to work flexibly and at a fast pace while making good technical decisions

YOUR Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience of writing quality, readable, maintainable and scalable code
  • An understanding of website performance
  • Strong full stack experience using JavaScript and/or jQuery, HTML & CSS (SASS/SCSS)
  • Understanding of REST API’s
  • Experience with platforms and frameworks (WordPress, Laravel)
  • Strong understanding and proven experience with using Advanced Custom Fields (for Wordpress) & Gutenburg
  • OOP PHP development experience and an overview of related technologies (MySQL, Linux, Apache, nginx)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail
  • Experience using git source control and modern branching strategies

Desirable Skills and experience 

  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Experience using composer based projects
  • Experience in web application security
  • SaaS platform experience, such as Shopify
  • Experience with Docker (used for our local development platform)
