If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Dietitian to join our team to further extend the dietetics service at Cygnet Forestwood CAMHS as to meet the needs of young people with Eating Disorder, Disordered Eating and weight management needs.
We are looking for a motivated Dietitian wanting to expand their skills, or learn new skills within a mental health inpatient setting. Dietetics support needs will vary from promoting healthy eating, weight management, to supporting individuals with Eating Disorder and Disordered Eating. Service delivery may involve the provision of first line advice, 1:1 sessions with individuals, groups and staff education and training. Involvement in supporting the catering team in menu planning will also be required.
Candidates should be a Registered Dietitian, preferably with some experience of working in mental health or in-patient setting. You will be able to determine how to organise your time to meet the needs of the caseload within a Mental Health in-patient environment. You will also have the opportunity to participate in policy development, audit, research activities, pathway development, staff and student training at both a local and national level. You will work alongside another Registered Dietitian with experience in this field.

Cygnet has a growing network of Dietitians and therefore provides clinical supervision from other Dietitians experienced in working in Mental Health services
Cygnet has a strong focus on research and quality improvement and encourages clinicians to actively participate in these areas
A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Dietetics, registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) and membership of the BDA (British Dietetic Association)
Experience in healthy eating promotion, weight management evidenced by sound clinical knowledge
Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others
Appraisal and peer supervision with other Dietitians
