This role demands a candidate with a robust background in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, coupled with a flair for implementing and steering PPM initiatives.
The role's essence is to elevate equipment performance through meticulous asset care, utilising systems such as Shire Pirana CMM or equivalents. The Maintenance Manager will be the driving force behind a team, providing leadership, distributing workloads, and conducting appraisals. The role also encompasses managing projects, forecasting, and crafting improvement plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Spearheading the management of downtime issues with the CMM system.
- Orchestrating first and second line management duties.
- Ensuring adherence to and achievement of key performance indicators, including planned maintenance, health and safety, and quality.
- Offering technical leadership and advocating a proactive stance to prevent equipment failure.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record with Shire Pirana CMM systems or similar.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Experience in the FMCG sector, specifically within an engineering function.
- A history of successful PPM schedule management, quality control, and waste reduction.
