Plant Fitter

Pay rate: £16 to £25 per hour depending on experience

Hours: 7pm - 5pm (Mon - Fri) Saturday mornings required as and when

Our client is a leading Waste Management company in South Yorkshire, and they are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter to join their team. The role includes working on a range of mobile and fixed heavy plant machinery.

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile and fixed plant.
* Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
* Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritise tasks efficiently.

Proven experience as a heavy plant fitter or similar role, preferably in the waste management or construction industry.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy machinery.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and techniques.
* Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
