Contract: Full-Time, 12-month fixed-term with potential to become permanent
Salary: £40,000+ gross per annum (depending on experience)
Additional: Rights to work in the UK. Fluent English essential, Portuguese desirable

The Chace People team is seeking a non-residential Housekeeper for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract starting in mid-September 2024. This role requires someone who is energetic and capable of maintaining a large, formally run household to a high standard.

Job Overview:
This position involves comprehensive housekeeping duties, including daily cleaning, laundry, and ironing. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the household's cleanliness, managing housekeeping expenditures, and preparing the property to an immaculate standard before the family's arrival. The role also requires flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work, particularly when the family is in residence.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily cleaning duties, covering all aspects of the household
Laundry and ironing duties when the family is in residence
Preparing and serving breakfast and lunch for the Madam
Keeping housekeeping expenditures and budgeting for the household
Reporting necessary repairs or maintenance and providing access to contractors
Maintaining a log of contractor access and monitoring their activities within the property
Preparing the property to an immaculate standard before the family's arrival
Ensuring the property is secured at all times
Grocery shopping prior to and during the family's arrivals
Assisting the Chef as needed
Maintaining a log of expenditures and submitting invoices weekly to the family office

Requirements:
Fluent in English. Fluency in Portuguese is a bonus
Formal background in housekeeping
Tech-savvy, with knowledge of alarm systems and computer literacy
Experience in working in large, formally run households
Able to work well with other household staff
Experience with laundry, packing, and unpacking
Right to work in the UK
Total confidentiality and discretion are essential

Additional Information:
The role offers a dynamic working environment in a prestigious Central West London townhouse. The position requires a Housekeeper who is used to large spaces and can work well as part of a team. While the contract is fixed-term for 12 months initially there is potential for the role to become permanent. More will be discussed with successful applicants.
