Overview

The Business Change & Transformation Manager will be a critical role in the successful roll out of a new digital communication platform across a large network of veterinary clinics. This person will work with the team in developing a B2B2C strategy and be integral in the training and success of the roll out within the practices–helping them understand, learn, and utilise this new tool. This role does require travel and the ability to be on-site.

Responsibilities

You will working closely with the team to support change management tasks:

  • Develop and execute change management strategies for a new software-based solution to be used across many veterinary clinics
  • Help tailor the strategies to align with our organisation’s needs, ensuring the smooth transition of business processes impacted by this large-scale project.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across departments, including clinic teams, to understand the unique challenges and opportunities related to change in the pet care/veterinary environment.
  • Support the roll out of a change management plan that includes communication, training, and support activities, with a focus on minimising disruption to daily operations and client care.
  • Monitor and adjust change initiatives as needed to address challenges and ensure successful adoption across the organisation.

You will help support the design and delivery of training programs

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, including veterinarians and clinic managers, to ensure training content is accurate and tailored to the specific needs of our business and industry.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training through feedback, assessments, and observed performance, making rapid improvements to enhance the process and learning outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure comfort, ease-of-use and adoption of the new tool among clinic and support staff.

You will support communication and identifying the most effective modes and materials:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for change-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to support staff at all levels, including clinic teams.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and briefings with clinic leadership, project teams, and senior management to update them on the progress of change management and training activities.

You will be the go-to Project Support person to:

  • Help identify, receive, and catalogue tech, operational issues, and improvements for the larger team to prioritise for resolution and iteration (a product and developer team will be responsible for the actual resolution and iteration of the product)
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure that change management and training efforts align with the overall project goals and timelines.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating risks or issues related to change management and training, particularly those that could impact client care or clinic operations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation, including change management plans, training materials, and progress reports.

Your Skills:

  • Proven experience developing and executing change management strategies and training across multiple clinics and/or multi-location small/medium businesses (ideally across a distributed geographical area)
  • Demonstrated experience developing communication strategies, tactics, and materials that support change initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in and understanding of roles within veterinary clinics is a plus (medical and healthcare experience is helpful if veterinary clinic knowledge is not in your background)
  • Ability to learn quickly and convert that learning into accurate, confident training of others
  • Strong people skills and the ability to understand and empathize with the concerns that come with change–including changes to comfortable business processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Solutions-based selling and/or training experience with the ability to identify the points/messaging that will resonate best with a variety of roles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, including clinic teams, leadership, and senior management.
  • Experience working, collaborating, and communicating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify opportunities to enhance change management and training processes.
  • Strong follow-through and follow-up to ensure that each person and each site feels that they have a true partner in this process
