This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate engineer to join an established international business.

My client is a highly successful global manufacturing business and an established leader at the forefront of the telecoms industry. They are a key player in the FTT-X industry, and develop a range of infrastructure-level solutions for their global customer-base. This role presents an opportunity to work in an expanding business and collaborate closely with national and international customers.

The main functions of this role is to provide product and technical support to external sales personnel, customers, and assist the business with the development and introduction of new products.

What you'll do:

  • Product Management of product ranges and accessories manufactured on-site
  • Product support for all sectors where products are utilised, i.e. Power, Telecom, Underground drainage, and general purpose.
  • Design, Development, and Introduction of new products into the product range helping maintain the businesses position as leading supplier in Power / Telecom UK sectors.
  • Work closely with internal departments for the integration of materials, methods, and tools necessary to introduce new products.
  • Establish test procedures for quality assurance of finished product to ensure products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Provide field support where necessary including customer training. This will involve travel throughout the UK and occasional foreign travel.
  • Technical Sales: costing & quotes including technical feasibility, quality requirements, tolerances, capacity, tooling planning & estimates, production time, material estimates and nurturing customer relationships.

Skills & Experience:

  • Graduate calibre in a technical discipline or with equivalent industry experience.
  • A practical level-headed individual with strong technical, communication and extensive problem solving skills.
  • Ability to operate under own initiative and with creativity.
  • Ability to understand complex ideas.
