Responsibilities: Cost Estimation: Conduct detailed cost estimations for residential construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs. Budget Preparation: Prepare comprehensive budgets for residential projects, considering all aspects of construction, from pre-construction to completion. Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality. Procurement: Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing materials, obtaining subcontractor bids, and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing. Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures against budgeted costs, identifying deviations and implementing corrective measures as necessary to ensure financial objectives are met. Change Management: Assess and manage changes to project scope, evaluating their impact on costs and timelines and providing recommendations to stakeholders. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to cost and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. Degree in Quantity Surveying is preffered. UK Drivers Licence. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector, with a strong track record of successfully managing cost-related aspects of projects.
