On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (electrical biased) to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out a programme of planned maintenance on plant / production machinery.
  • To provide breakdown service to the production areas to ensure Safety, Quality and Production targets are met.
  • To support the Engineering Supervisor with the continual development and improvement of the facilities and services.
  • To work proactively, identify and act upon any sub-standard areas of the plant, report any current or potential areas of risk.
  • To review and maintain an adequate stock of spares to ensure that Production machines/services are always available.
  • To undertake training for self-development, assist with training of the Production team members in the efficient and safe operation of the plant.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience of repairing a variety of electro / mechanical devices ie. 415v motors and control gear, rollers / bearings, gearboxes, vacuum pumps, belts/pulleys, heaters, RTD’s and thermocouples.
  • Have completed an indentured apprenticeship with relevant vocational qualifications in electrical / mechanical principles.
  • Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC competent.
  • Investigate / repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to follow a range of engineering drawings including electrical schematics, mechanical arrangement, pneumatic / hydraulics.
  • Be competent in use of Microsoft Office, emails, general pc literate.
Hours Of Work: 24/7 12hr Shifts (4 on, 4 off) Salary: £48,000p.a.
