Inside Sales Rep / Office Coordinator – Bromsgrove, United Kingdom
DESCRIPTION:
RBC Dodge Industrial Ltd is a manufacturer of bearings and mechanical power transmission products. This is an industrial Inside Sales Representative position with secondary Office Coordinator responsibilities. The Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for handling phone and email enquiries from customers, providing price and lead time quotations, and entering and tracking orders. Technical knowledge will sometimes be required to support customers. The Inside Sales Representative will need to be comfortable with creating and monitoring domestic and international shipments of goods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Handle telephone and email enquiries from customers
- Provide price and lead time quotations to customers via telephone and email
- Process purchase orders from customers into sales orders via Sage ERP system
- Ensure newly entered purchases orders from customers are acknowledged
- Create and monitor both domestic and international shipments of goods
- Provide technical data specs and literature to customers
- Provide technical support to customers to the best of your ability, including basic troubleshooting of bearing products
- When opportunities arise, convert competitor products to RBC / Dodge products
- Effectively communicate with US internal sales and other suppliers
- Identify areas for customer service improvement and contribute best practice suggestions
- Abide by company health and safety policies
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Purchasing and managing office and warehouse supplies
- Handling matters related to utilities, contractors, and other building operation needs
- Supporting the management of company vehicles by liaising with insurance, lenders, and maintenance garages
- Coordinating with IT providers, including CSCM, HBT, Central IT, Sage, and RBC Dodge corporate IT, when IT support is necessary
- Assisting with travel and reservation arrangements
- Assisting with inventory management
- Providing support to RBC Dodge Accounting, including communications with customers regarding payment or credit
- Supporting marketing initiatives
- Managing ISO certification and supporting internal audits such as safety, inventory, and matrix control
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Requirements
- GCSE in Maths and English
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Experience with ERP software (experience with Sage would be preferred, but not required)
