The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly with autonomy; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick responses; A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential.
This person’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing simplification and legal automation projects, supporting with litigation and compliance matters, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements, managing complex projects for the Payments Legal team, outside counsel management including support with budgeting and processing of legal invoices, business training on legal tools, general administration, and other tasks needed to support the business and legal teams.
The role supports a large and growing team of attorneys and legal professionals who represent Amazon's Payments businesses, located in multiple EU, UK and US offices.
London, GBR 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department
· Experience with payments and financial services regulation and compliance
· Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
· Project management experience
· Strong analytical and computer skills
