About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

The Digital Buildings team is part of the Technical Infrastructure team in Google’s Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) organization. The team is responsible for the strategy behind the systems in workplace buildings, including IoT and digital building infrastructure.

In this role, you will direct the IoT and solutions deployment programs in the region including new construction projects and existing buildings. You will also work in collaboration with the REWS Technical Infrastructure team and cross-organizational teams. Responsibilities
  • Direct strategic programs, control systems, cybersecurity, data science, business use cases, solutions, optimization, sustainability.
  • Manage processes, charters, and standards for IoT and control systems, including functionality and cybersecurity and implement them in new construction and existing buildings deployment programs.
  • Direct the technical and commercial strategy of the programs including establishing technical criteria, developing the procurement approach, vendor management, risk mitigation, resolving escalations, and delivery of projects.
  • Develop goals for the new construction and existing building programs, track progress, and take corrective action.
  • Build relationships with executives, stakeholders, and external partners to set expectations, maintain alignment, and give progress updates for the deployment programs.
