Commercial Director - Fast Track House Building Solutions
Basic to £95,000 (Negotiable to attract) + Bonus + Car / Car Allowance
UK role based primarily in the North West of England (3 days per week)
The CompanyOur retained client has a world-wide patent on a Panelised Structural Building solution for the construction of houses but capable of building to 5 storeys for mass accommodation applications (medium rise social housing, student accommodation, hotels etc.). In addition, they have developed a retrofit solution that brings social housing up to superb standards - low carbon, low waste, mass customisation. Whilst the new build solution is new and at the start of its journey to mass adoption, it has been proven in thousands of home extensions over the years being produced in volume in their large factory.
The RoleYou will be taking on a wide-ranging management role, in a relatively new business, with the full support and backing of a successful £50,000,000 business. The role will keep you very busy and will be pull you in lots of directions. Your main responsibilities will include strong commercial negotiations and building mutually profitable long-term relationships with a select few National House Builders. In addition, you will be responsible for organising and managing initial trials and the scaling of these trials to volume production.
About YouYou will have strong relationships with National House Builders, understanding how houses are built and the commercial drivers that affect and influence who House Builders work with when they employ MMC methods of construction. Initially an autonomous role but one where you will work closely with the Group CEO, Technical Director, Finance Director, and the Manufacturing management team calling on their support as required. You will be excited by the prospect of becoming a Managing Director of this business with a team of reports as the business is scaled soon.
