Purpose of Role

· To provide a safe, secure, and clean environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors.

· To lead the hygiene specialist team and security team, ensuring the highest level of service with a 'can do' 'will do' attitude at all times.

· Working as part of the wider team to ensure exceptional levels of security, cleanliness, and operational efficiency are delivered.

· To ensure compliance and regulations for the Security and Hygiene team are up to date.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Line Managers, the Site Manager is responsible for providing an exemplary level of site management and customer service, promoting the company brand through compliance with policies and procedures with a fair and consistent approach. They will be the integral link between our senior management team and our clients, representing the Company at all times whilst on duty. The Site Manager will, inter alia, be responsible for:

· Team Leadership:

· Lead, manage, and motivate the Hygiene Specialist Team and Security Team to ensure effective performance and professional development.

· Conduct regular team meetings and provide training and support as necessary.

· Ensure team members adhere to safety and operational protocols.

· Operational Management:

· Oversee the daily operations of the shopping centre, ensuring all facilities are in optimal condition.

· Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning schedules and security protocols.

· Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and security.

· Security Management:

· Prevent trespassers from entering the site and prevent anti-social behaviour by providing a security presence and patrolling the internal and external perimeters.

· Serve as the first point of contact for Police for any incidents, and collaborate regarding sharing of local intelligence.

· Preserve assets of clients and site contractors such as vehicles, tools, and machinery.

· Maintain a security log of all activities and incidents occurring during the shift for audit purposes.

· Safeguard all site keys, manage and log the issue and return of keys, and ensure that keys are issued only where authorization is validated.

· Hygiene and Cleanliness:

· Undertake regular patrols to monitor the cleanliness of the site and direct cleaning staff to areas requiring attention.

· Identify any health and safety issues around the site and report them to the Line Manager.

· Ensure that spillages and cleanliness issues are recorded and addressed promptly.

· Customer Service:

· Meet and greet visitors, contractors, and staff, providing excellent customer service.

· Serve as a principal source of information on rules and procedures governing security and health and safety operations on site.

· Emergency Preparedness:

· Take necessary action in the event of an emergency in accordance with assignment instructions and report all incidents to the Line Manager.

· Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure staff readiness.

· Reporting and Documentation:

· Maintain accurate records of all site operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.

· Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on site performance and issues.

· Additional Duties:

· Ensure that fire regulations are adhered to at all times.

· Any other reasonable request made by the Line Manager or as detailed by the Company.

Requirements

Person Specification

· Proven experience in site or facilities management, preferably in a retail or shopping centre environment.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

· Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends, sometimes at short notice.

· Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software.

· Relevant qualifications in facilities management, security management, or a related field are desirable.

Must hold a valid front-line SIA Licence or be eligible to obtain one in the near future

· Experience of working within the security industry

· Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights and weekends, and sometimes, at short notice, where required

· Excellent command of the English language

· First rate communication skills – verbal and written

· Excellent personal presentation

· Strong, reliable, dedicated individual who is able to be resilient and steadfast at all times
