Bedales School is a unique educational establishment, set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
We are looking for a committed and flexible person who will take pride in supporting our Domestic Operations Supervisor. The primary role is the day-to-day supervision of a small team of Domestic staff in the provision of a high-quality domestic service for pupils residing in a Boarding House and commercial buildings.
This includes all aspects of cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry services.
In addition to leading the team and participating with all cleaning duties, the role is expected to support the Domestic Department in general by working in all areas of the School as and when required.
Planning and supervising the Domestic cleaners
Support onsite training of the team
Full induction training is given, and on-going support is available from the onsite teams.
This post works all year round both during when the school is open and pupils are present and during school holiday and closure periods and you will be required to work 37.5 hours each week, Monday to Friday, from 07:00am to 3:30pm, breaks will typically be taken as 30 minutes for breakfast at 8:30am and 30 minutes for lunch at 12:00pm.
In addition, the post will be required to work a minimum of one in four Saturdays from 07:00am to 11:00am. Where a Saturday is worked the hours on Wednesday will be 07:00am to 11:15am
63 per hour (£22,682 per annum)

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job candidates to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children
