With a heavy focus on raising our profile and brand awareness in the UK and Europe among e-commerce, FinTech and Travel merchants, the Head of Content will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's voice and presence across all platforms. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing our content strategy, overseeing public relations efforts, and managing a team to ensure our messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligned with our business goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that encompasses thought leadership, industry insights, and product information across various channels including our website, blog, social media, webinars and press releases.
Manage and mentor a PR/Content Specialist, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
Oversee the relationship with our PR agency to ensure PR campaigns are innovative, effective, and aligned with our overall marketing strategy.
Create compelling, high-quality content that enhances our brand's reputation and engages our target audience.
Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to inform strategy adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure a unified brand message.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
Manage the content calendar, ensuring a steady flow of content across all platforms.
Handle media inquiries and build relationships with key industry journalists and influencers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Proven experience in a content management role, preferably within the payments, fintech, or related industry.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing direct reports and external agencies.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, SEO, and analytics tools.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and translate them into effective content.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
First-hand experience in the payment processing industry
