Company Overview: We are currently working with a global construction company that are based in Manchester they have been around for over 50 years and have a large product range that they provide for their construction clients. Due to growth they are looking to add a graduate or junior engineer to the team

Position Overview: As a Junior Product Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, testing, and enhancement of our product line, driving innovation and ensuring our continued success in the global market. If you are looking to progress your career and working for a large comapny with 3 sites based in the North West apply below

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Participate in all stages of the product development lifecycle, from concept generation to prototyping, testing, and production.
  • Utilize CAD software and other tools to create detailed designs and technical drawings.
  • Perform comprehensive testing and validation to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing, to coordinate product launches and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated on advancements in construction materials, technologies, and methodologies to inform product development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Field.
  • Either a graduate or 1-2 years of experience in product development or engineering design, preferably in the construction industry but open to Mechanical or mining sectors
  • Proficiency in CAD software (they Use Inventor, AutoCad)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to the advancement of construction technology.
