Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project objectives, requirements, and expectations.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established metrics.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Provide proactive leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, reports, and proposals.
- Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular project updates.
- Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in construction project management, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and practices, including Cost Management, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administration, and Bills of Quantities preparation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards governing construction projects.
- Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, PMP) are highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across Kent, Sussex, and Surrey.
