Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project objectives, requirements, and expectations.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established metrics.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide proactive leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, reports, and proposals.
  • Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular project updates.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and practices, including Cost Management, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administration, and Bills of Quantities preparation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards governing construction projects.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across Kent, Sussex, and Surrey.
Salary: £65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Benefits:
