Assess and manage the mental health needs of individuals, ensuring appropriate mental health legislation is applied where necessary. Provide consultation and guidance to less experienced staff members, offering support and mentoring to enhance their practice. Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Support the team manager in service planning, performance monitoring, and quality assurance activities. Keep abreast of legislative changes, research, and best practice in the field of mental health and emergency duty social work. Uphold professional standards and ethical principles in all aspects of work, promoting anti-discriminatory practice and respect for diversity. Requirements: Qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). Relevant Qualifications and Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body. (Social Work England) Experience working in emergency duty social work or mental health services. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
