Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the ongoing development and innovation of Elevate . As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our product to stay ahead of the competition, while ensuring high scalability and efficiency.

This role requires a team-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, whiteboarding, and pair programming sessions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a focus on unit and acceptance testing.
  • Deliver high-quality software, from development to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
  • Refactor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing software solutions.
  • Share constructive feedback with colleagues and foster a positive, growth-oriented team environment.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to supporting documentation.
  • Practice continuous improvement (KAIZEN) by identifying and implementing ways to enhance processes, code, and team dynamics.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering scalable, fully-tested cloud-native solutions with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS).
  • Strong expertise in functional programming, particularly using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Git, and OpenAPI.
  • Solid experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Selenium and/or Cucumber for test automation.

  • Adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Flexible yet organised work style.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
