London, United Kingdom Hearst Networks EMEA Full time

Are you set to complete a year in industry as part of your university undergraduate course next year?

Our TV Scheduling and Navigation (On-Air) Interns at Hearst Networks EMEA are immersed in the world of schedule production, graphics strategy and voice over curation.

As an TV Scheduling and Navigation (On-Air) Intern, you’ll be responsible for the creative and accurate scheduling of all broadcast presentation elements such as promos, sponsorship, graphics, voiceover announcements and channel branding. You will occasionally write voiceovers and will regularly work with our voiceover artists. You will need a sharp eye for detail, good computer skills and strong communication as you will need to liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally. In the Navigation & Continuity team you will strategise and generate on-air graphic excel plans, ensuring the timely availability of all graphics and voiceovers for the scheduling team. This role will be based in the London Hammersmith office working a minimum 3 days from the office, with the option to work the rest of the week from home.

This role is suited to students looking to start their placement year in Summer 2026, and please note that it is based on audience research rather than production research. In our TV Scheduling and Navigation (On-Air) Intern role, you will gain experience with the following:
Producing and delivering accurate and creative schedules to Playout in a timely manner
Assisting with creating script grids and delivery of navigation assets.
Liaising with and preparing Voice Over Artists for self-op sessions.
Escalating problems in the required timescales and via the most effective route, retaining ownership of the issues, promptly carrying out follow up analysis when needed.
Taking the initiative to pass on information and updates, providing and receiving training when required.
Increasing your knowledge and understanding of key stakeholder teams such as Playout, Media Planning, Programme Planning, Creative, and Compliance.

Microsoft software knowledge.
TV or media brand knowledge.
Must be an undergraduate student in a sandwich year course, due to start their placement year in Summer 2026 and to return to study in Autumn 2027.

# Why you're drawn to this internship and the field you're applying for.
A project or experience you're proud of and why it stands out to you.

We want to hear your voice and get a sense of who you are, not a polished response from a machine. At Hearst Networks EMEA, we share stories that matter, inspiring and exciting our audiences with hit US franchises (The Curse of Oak Island, Pawn Stars), must-see docudramas (Royal Kill List and Colosseum), and original commissions (Sex: A Bonkers History with Amanda Holden, Royal Autopsy, Cops Gone Bad with Will Mellor). Over the past few years we’ve championed our own original programming and relished in the successes of recent series’ such as The Unbelievable with Dan Aykroyd, Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Royal Mob.

Here you’ll find a community of innovative, creative and inspiring people who aren’t afraid to embrace responsibility and try new things collaboratively, as a team.

We are a certified Great Place to Work® with a can-do, motivated culture that believes in working to live, not just living to work. With offices in Rome, Madrid, London, Warsaw, Munich and Johannesburg, we are a truly international organisation that celebrates difference and diversity.

As an inclusive employer, we value the diversity of our teams and want our workforce to reflect our wider society. Pease do let us know if you require any adjustments or assistance for meetings and communications with you when you apply for a role with us.
