About Us: We are a dynamic construction company specializing in a wide range of projects, including commercial, industrial, educational, retail/leisure, and community-based developments. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to join our team and oversee various projects in and around the Ipswich area.
Job Description: As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be the primary point of contact for all site-related activities, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate and supervise site personnel and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports
- Manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure all work is completed to specification
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on site
- Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to project plans and schedules
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in the commercial, industrial, educational, retail/leisure, and community sectors
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
- First Aid at Work certification
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software
- Full UK driving license
