Regional HGV Class 1 Driver

We are looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver based from our Bristol depot, but providing cover for depots and drivers across the South West.

With this role you will be required to travel and cover the depots where needed across the region. Travel and accommodation arrangements will be paid for by the company when this is required.

As an HGV class 1 driver we are looking for people that have the correct licences, hold a CPC card, enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis, have excellent customer service skills and understand the importance of health and safety within an organisation.

In return you'll receive full training, £32,500 per annum + Regional Driver Allowance of £2000, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, life assurance, Westfield Health Insurance, auto enrolment pension and access to retail discounts. We also cover night out fees and there is an achievable annual bonus in place

Load and unload machines in accordance with the Company code of practice and use appropriate equipment.

Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting and delivering machines.

Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required.

You must hold an HGV class 1 licence & a full CPC card.

Flexible with staying away from home on average three nights per week (accommodation provided).

Experience of driving a low loader vehicle delivering plant or recovering vehicles is preferred, though full training can be provided.

A demonstrable understanding of HGV vehicle safety and upkeep.
