To succeed in this role, you must have demonstrated experience leading and promoting a strong safety culture for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company where projects routinely exceed $250M in value. Are you our new Health & Safety Region Lead? We work to create a sustainable future and our inspiring projects and innovative solutions strive to set the standard among our peers. You will join our Health Safety & Security Team supporting our project teams and employees. As our new Northeast H&S Regional Lead, you will be an active part of our team that manages and monitors safety programs, policies, and procedures primarily in the northeast region of the U.You will report to the Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) Operations Manager and collaborate with other region leads. You will conduct inspections to identify unsafe conditions and help implement safeguards and ensure employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures.
Oversee and manage Ramboll’s corporate Caring Together health and safety program
Adhere to corporate policies and standards set forth in Ramboll’s Caring Together safety program
Provide guidance to project leaders regarding Ramboll’s safety approach, H&S staffing needs, risk assessments, subcontractor selection, and similar H&S requirements
Support recruiting and hiring of safety professional as needed to support safety at Ramboll’s largest project sites
Confirm that competent and qualified persons are assigned to oversee tasks when required.
Resolve safety issues between Ramboll project teams, subcontractors, and clients while maintaining Ramboll’s compliance with regulations, standards, and internal procedures
Promote participation by subcontractors in Ramboll’s work observation program.
Communicate incident and observation trends based on reported incidents and observations and conduct training or take other pro-active measures in response to trends.
Present or facilitate safety training programs to assure understanding of regulations and Ramboll policies
We are looking for Health & Safety Regional Lead with extensive experience in managing safety on EPC/EPCM projects (
$Confident knowledge of health and safety regulations/standards applicable to safety activities
~ Professional and confident persona when correcting unsafe behaviors that are observed or reported at projects or office locations
~ Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, subcontractors and regulatory agencies
~ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
~adjacent industry experiencein pharmaceutical, or secondary metals may be considered.
~ BS degree in health and safety or related field
~ Ability to travel as necessary to conduct audits at project sites, attend meetings and presentations and support the mobilization of larger projects
~ Demonstrated leadership and management skills
Advanced training or education in fields related to accident prevention or occupational health and safety is highly desirable
Position location is flexible but ideally within upstate NY, Massachusetts, or Connecticut
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with potential for intermittent weekend work
Drug and alcohol testing is required.
