Test & Verification Apprentice

This role involves collaborating with a broad technical team to assure the functionality, integrity, and robustness of all new and existing gas detection products. What will you be doing (after being trained appropriately)? Test new and existing gas detection products to make sure they meet standards and customer needs. Review test results and write reports, highlighting progress and any risks. Share findings in meetings when needed. Help design and set up automated systems to check product performance. Support the development team with early and final product testing. Contribute ideas to improve how testing and verification are done. Your Skills & Experience This position involves working with colleagues across teams so you will need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss technical information clearly. In addition, you need: Flexible and a can-do attitude towards work. Willingness to study towards formal higher level technical qualifications (e.g Level 3 BTEC/HNC) within Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical discipline. Ability to work with own initiative and an inquisitive problem solving approach. Ability to use standard MS software packages. Personal drive to learn new skills. Good written/verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. The most important quality the successful candidate will have is the desire to learn and to undertake a wide range of work-based challenges which will progress your technical engineering ability.
