Mechanical Estimator
Our client is a leading provider of mechanical and engineering solutions, specializing in a wide range of services including Compressed Air, Hot and Cold Services, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Process Systems, Plant Utilities, Steam and Condensate, and Cleanroom technologies. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we deliver bespoke solutions to clients across various industries, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in estimating mechanical projects, with a focus on HVAC, process systems, utilities, and cleanroom technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator to contribute to the success of diverse projects while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical projects, including HVAC systems, process systems, utilities, and cleanrooms.
Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify project requirements and constraints.
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive quotations for materials, equipment, and services.
Analyze cost data and labor requirements to develop detailed estimates, including labor, material, and overhead costs.
Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns.
Collaborate with project teams to develop value engineering solutions and alternative cost-saving options.
Participate in bid clarification meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally specializing in HVAC, process systems, utilities, and cleanroom technologies.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including compressed air, HVAC, steam and condensate, and plant utilities.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
