Title: Machine Operative / Mechanical AssemblerThe Best Connection are currently seeking to recruit a SAW Operator to join our clients team based in Chichester, Hampshire.Duties to include but not limited to:Measuring, cutting, and preparing natural and engineered wood for saw machinery operationsAchieve daily production targets according to the clients production scheduleComplete jobs on schedule for dispatch deadlinesWork from technical drawings with high attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and prevent wastageUsing both hand tools and power tools.Conduct quality checks on materials prior to CNC processingClean and maintain machinery and toolsReporting deficiencies and safety issues to the Production ManagerReport technical machinery faults promptlyOperate forklift for material handlingEngage in general labouring duties to help with the movement of good.Requirements:Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferredHigh attention to detail and level of accuracyCan-do attitude with a focus on meeting deadlines and targetsWillingness to learn and work overtime when requiredWorking hours are Monday - Friday (Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30). With an early finish on Friday(07:30am-12:30pm)This is a full time, ongoing position with the potential of a permanent contract after 12 weeks.This role is to start at the beginning of May.The pay for this role is £11.44 p/h.Benefits & Requirements:- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)- Canteen- Induction Training- Oncall Support- Ongoing Assignment- Overtime Available- Training ProvidedAll vacancies are available and correct at the time of posting.
