As a Supplier Quality Inspector, you'll embark on a journey that involves extensive travel, both internationally and within the UK, fostering close collaboration with our suppliers. Your role is paramount in upholding meticulous inspection across all supplier activities, ensuring strict adherence to Quality Management System requirements, Purchase Order agreements, and Project Technical Documentation. Coordinate Gate Stage & Pre-Shipment inspection schedules and travel logistics in tandem with suppliers and Supplier Quality Engineers.
Conduct Gate Stage and Pre-Shipment Inspections at supplier facilities, adhering to prescribed procedures and Supplier Control Plans to verify product compliance with Purchase Order agreements and engineering specifications.
Validate corrective actions to rectify identified defects and proactively engage in resolving quality issues with suppliers, aiding in Root Cause Analysis endeavours.
Help in Supplier Quality audits aligned with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Willingness to undertake extensive travel both domestically and internationally.
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and well-versed in various manufacturing processes related to transformer commodities, including fabrications, electrical steel, winding copper, and insulation.
Familiarity with non-conformity reporting tools and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Working knowledge of GE quality tools within the Quality Suite and Root Cause Analysis methodology would be advantageous.
Fluency in English, with proficiency in other languages being advantageous.
