Role: M&E Project Manager – Derby Employment Type: Full-time/On-Site Salary: £70,000–£75,000 + £5,000 car allowance Location: Derby Immediate start available We’re working with a leading M&E contractor that has been delivering complex building services projects across the UK and Europe for over 45 years. Due to ongoing growth in the Midlands, they’re looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager to join their team and oversee a key project in Derby. This is a full lifecycle role – from pre-construction through to delivery and client handover. You'll be joining an established contractor with an excellent reputation and strong order book across logistics, pharma, data centre, healthcare, and commercial sectors. What You'll Be Doing Managing the full M&E project lifecycle from design review and procurement to delivery, commissioning and handover Leading site-based teams and subcontractors, ensuring programme milestones are hit Conducting design coordination and value engineering reviews to optimise project performance Managing project finances, including procurement, variations, and cash flow tracking Ensuring full compliance with HSE legislation and company standards on-site Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders Leading risk management and implementing mitigation plans across the project Supporting the wider business with input into estimating and planning future schemes Driving a culture of behavioural safety and quality delivery What We're Looking For Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Management SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent site qualifications Strong background delivering M&E projects with Tier 2 or Tier 3 subcontractors Solid experience in sectors like logistics, healthcare, pharma, or commercial fit-outs Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and team management abilities Strong commercial understanding and ability to balance time, cost and quality
