Profile and shape pipes and components using handheld power tools, mechanical cutting machines and associated tooling.
Prepare and fit piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with overhead cranes and lifting equipment
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Follows and adhere to any control measures required under the Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
Ensure good house-keeping of work areas at all times.
QUALITY
Undertake inspection of parts, sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality and solid working function.
Support the company in maintaining and improving our ISO 9001 (quality), 14001 (environmental), 45001 (health and safety) standards through adherence to the Navantia UK Management Systems this is the responsibility of all Navantia UK employees when conducting all processes and activities.
Time served pipe fitter either in a shipyard or similar field activity where refit work was undertaken.
Relevant qualification, indentured apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds etc.
Basic knowledge of welding processes.
