Meraki Talent have partnered with a global asset management firm to recruit a senior leadership opportunity for a Head of Private Market Fund Accounting & Asset Valuations. This role will provide strategic oversight to the Fund Accounting and Alternative/Private Assets Accounting teams during a pivotal growth phase in Private Assets and Real Estate. A critical enabler of this growth is the robust development and execution of investment accounting, reporting, and asset valuation processes. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise across a broad range of asset classes and vehicle structures, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, control, and governance. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and develop high-performing internal and outsourced teams, fostering a culture of engagement, performance, and client focus. Valuation Governance: Strengthen and oversee valuation practices across Private Assets and Real Estate, ensuring independence and technical rigor. Process Ownership: Design, implement, and enhance investment accounting, reporting, and valuation procedures and controls. Risk & Controls: Maintain effective systems and controls aligned with the RLAM Risk Framework and regulatory requirements. Change Management: Lead and deliver complex change initiatives that align with strategic priorities. Oversight & Accountability: Take full responsibility for fund/investment accounting and valuation activities, both in-house and outsourced. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted partner to investment, trading, and client teams, delivering high-quality insights and service. About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong, relevant investment accounting experience across liquid and illiquid asset classes. Demonstrated leadership and strategic management experience within an asset management Deep understanding of investment instruments, private debt/assets, and real estate (direct/indirect). Proven expertise in valuation governance and technical accounting for complex asset structures Solid grasp of the investment management lifecycle, from trade execution through to financial and regulatory reporting.
