Conduct Risk Specialist

Woodland Partners are delighted to be working with this Specialist Insurance Group in the development of their new 1st Line Compliance function. We are now seeking a Conduct Risk Specialist to work alongside the CEO to assist operations to satisfy obligations in relation to the Consumer Duty Framework and to ensure that the Company effectively manages its conduct risk with respect of the delegated authority of underwriting and claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Risk Framework Management: Exercise day to day oversight over Managing General Agents’ (‘MGAs) and Third-Party Administrators’ (‘TPAs’) Conduct Risk Framework. Deliver quarterly reports. Peer review the framework and documents and suggest improvements in line with the requirements of the Consumer Duty Framework and conduct risks in line with existing and new regulatory requirements
- Conduct Risk Annual Review: Perform annual review of Product Risk Assessment Matrix. Perform annual class of business conduct risk assessment process in liaison with underwriting teams. Perform annual review of Conduct Risk Appetite Statement. Deliver annual Conduct Review Report.
- Consumer Duty and Fair Value: This role is a first line role to assist in the day to day operational requirements to comply with consumer duty and fair value obligations, including liaising with MGAs and TPA s to submit required management information to enable the Company to evidence its compliance with the Consumer Duty Framework. This includes the accumulation of all Consumer Duty Risk Dashboard data from MGAs and TPAs, adquate reasonableness assessment and challenge and the performance of analysis of data for follow up actions as may be required.
- Promote the Conduct Risk Framework to new Third Parties (MGAs and TPAs) with the assistance of the Due Diligence Team.
To be considered you must have at least 5 years relevant Insurance experience and ideally hold a minimum of an ACII qualification.
A proven ability to understand and apply regulatory requirements in relation to Consumer Duty and Conduct risk. Management Skills is imperative.
