We are currently recruiting a dedicated and flexible Community Registered Nurse to join our team, providing essential care within the Emergency Medical Unit (EMU). As a Band 5/6 Community Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Full time position, Part time hours will be considered.

Key Responsibilities: Assess and provide treatment and care to patients attending the Emergency Medical Unit (EMU), ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines. Support registered clinical colleagues and mentor unregistered clinical staff, fostering their professional development and promoting best practice standards. Deliver a responsive, patient-focused service, prioritizing patient needs and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and facilitate smooth patient transitions within the healthcare system. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with data protection regulations. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the evaluation and enhancement of patient care processes. Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday: Shifts vary between the hours of 0800-2000. Weekends and Bank Holidays: Shifts are scheduled between 1000-1600.

Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register. Band 5/6 level experience in a community healthcare setting, preferably within an Emergency Medical Unit (EMU) or similar acute care environment. Demonstrated clinical competency in assessing and treating patients, including medication administration and clinical procedures. Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a role model and mentor to junior staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Commitment to maintaining professional standards and engaging in continuous professional development activities.
