Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in Ebbsfleet, Kent , this on-site role will support the finance team in managing daily financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:
- Process and maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure that discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the finance team in preparing budget reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Compile financial data for audits and assist with internal and external audit processes.
Administrative Support:
- Handle day-to-day financial queries from suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Support payroll processing and ensure that employee records are up to date.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial files, both physical and digital.
Compliance & Procedures:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Support in maintaining and updating financial procedures, ensuring they are in line with legal and regulatory requirements. At least 1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role.
- Familiarity with financial systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Attributes:
- AAT Level 1 (or above) or equivalent qualification in finance/accounting is preferred.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices is a plus.
