Our client is a leading UK research institution with a complex structure of independent divisions and departments with strong links to academic activities.
The organisation is seeking to appoint an Interim Finance Planning Lead to aid in the creation of an effective financial and business planning capability to support the organisation in its oversight of current and future financial activities.

The post holder will construct a robust, commercial financial planning process that is proportionate to the needs of the organisation and its constituent departments to:

Provide clear financial requirements of divisions and departments across the organisation
Enable transparency of finances and reporting across the organisation
Build a suite of management and business intelligence reporting tools to provide visibility to support the divisions and the organisation as a whole
Enable interim financial reporting and review throughout the financial year

Experience in the broader Higher Education sector would benefit applications greatly, with a special interest in academic planning .

Candidates with broader Finance Director, CFO or FP&A experience are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates will have the opportunity to progress into the permanent post holder .
