Job Title: Buyer Reports To: Finance Director Job Summary: As a Buyer at Futura Design Ltd, you will be a key player in optimising our procurement processes and contributing significantly to our projects in the automotive design sector, as well as overall business purchasing activities. Your role involves strategically overseeing and executing the purchase of materials, services, and assets across the business. You will be responsible for diligently sourcing supplies, negotiating terms, and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. Your keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills and proactive nature will be vital in identifying cost-saving opportunities and maintaining beneficial supplier relationships. Your work will directly impact the success of our projects, and overall profitability of the company. Key Responsibilities 1) Procurement Management:

  • Oversee and manage all purchasing activities within the company.
  • Source materials, services, and capital assets required for projects and company operations.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely procurement, keeping stakeholders informed as necessary.
  • Drive supply chain improvement and processes.
2) Cost Optimisation:
  • Actively seek opportunities to reduce costs and negotiate better deals against KPIs.
  • Analyse market trends to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
3) Contract Review and Management:
  • Evaluate annual contracts and identify areas for cost reduction. For example, Utilities.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers to achieve favourable conditions to include, but not limited to, payment terms and rebates.
4) Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Confidently engage with suppliers to ensure the best value and service.
5) Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all products and services meet the company's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with procurement.
6) Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to forecast future needs.
7) Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ISO and company policies regarding purchasing.
  • Monitor suppliers’ financial health to ensure continuity of supplies and no bottlenecks.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and cost-saving initiatives.
8) Security and Confidentiality Assurance:
  • Help enforce security measures and confidentiality protocols, ensuring the protection of project-related information.
  • Maintain a culture of utmost discretion and confidentiality among team members, subcontractors, and external partners, reinforcing our commitment to protecting our top-secret projects and client trust.
9) Upholding Company Values: - Support the company culture and values, demonstrating integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Qualifications & Skills: Previous procurement experience within automotive would be beneficial. 3+ years of experience as a buyer. Microsoft Office Suite efficient. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for efficiency. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Super negotiating skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proactive and persistent. Loves hitting and surpassing targets
