Web Modernisation Architect - 2 days in the Edinburgh office a week (commute paid) 6 months (Inside IR35) £700-750 per day January start

We are looking for a solution architect experienced in driving design and supporting implementation for one of the UK's leading financial institutions. You will have experience in the following:

  • green field build of new applications and features
  • progressive modernisation of existing applications (mainly .NET / SQL Server / DB2 / Mainframe) to new cloud-based targets
  • solutioning co-existence and cutover approaches to support the progressive modernisation of applications
  • event driven microservice centric architecture design
  • UI frameworks for inclusion of React.JS web journeys (mobile app and browser)

The tech stack:

  • Apigee X & RESTful services
  • Java based microservices
  • Istio Service match
  • Kafka
  • Google PubSub / Public Cloud
  • Cloud SQL, Postgres
  • Google Cloud Public Cloud Target Host
