Are you an experienced Estates and Asset Management professional looking for a new challenge? Our company is seeking a talented individual to lead our Estates and Asset Management functions. Reporting to the Director of Property and with 2 direct reports, you will be responsible for creating an aligned vision that supports the company's main strategic goal. This includes overseeing strategy, budgets, property personnel, and partner agreements, while promoting our Group company within the wider property market.

Key Responsibilities

People:

  • Create a clear vision for the Estates Team that is aligned to the company's key strategy, which in turn will drive out the Estates & Assets key objectives.
  • Support the Estates Team in creating a clear succession and development plan that supports the business' talent development drive.
  • Lead the team in reviewing and improving the external partner relationships to ensure they are aligned to the strategy and the requirements of the business.
  • Lead the Estates function in influencing decisions by the Executive Management Team and ensure a streamlined line of decision making is established on all property matters.

Process:

  • Oversee and direct the Estates Team's database and reporting to ensure accurate bespoke KPIs are available for key stakeholders to demonstrate progress against the 5-year plan.
  • Responsible for the Estates Management and Asset Management P&L budgets.
  • Direct the review of outsourced services and approve changes to align with the requirements of the business.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Asset Management Strategy and tracking of performance and cost benefit.
  • Drive the team influence and implementation of the Environmental Agenda in line with the Environmental Leadership strategy.
  • Responsible for all estate-related governance required by internal and external audit teams.

Focus

  • Lead and provide a clear focus point for the Property & Store Development departments commitment to the Environmental Leadership strategy.
  • Align the Estates Teams key activity and focus to the Estate Optimization and Store Development Team to maximize the trading property portfolio.
  • Promote the company's brand within the property Industry through targeted networking.
  • Support the Director of Operations & Property and CFO in preparing and presenting the wider department strategy.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

You'll be an experienced RICS Chartered Surveyor (General Practice or Estate Management) with extensive experience and up-to-date knowledge of commercial property legislation, estate management, and landlord and tenant matters. With demonstrable experience of working in-house for a multi-site occupier.

You'll be able to demonstrate your ability to manage expectations, work on own initiative and prioritize heavy workloads effectively and delegate effectively.

You'll have an enthusiastic, proactive and positive attitude, combined with a resilient and dynamic approach to getting things done and able to influence decisions at all levels of business.
