Science teacher

A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work in a popular secondary school in Crewe from September until Easter 2025.

This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Science teachers.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & across the school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however, it is not essential that it is Science related)
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Science
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date FGM training (essential, again, we can provide training)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
