England, United Kingdom Ganymede Full time €93,000

Head of Health & Safety – Civil Engineering National Role (Ideally central UK based for ease of travel)
Are you passionate about driving a successful Safety culture into an award winning, growing organisation, whilst working on prestigious infrastructure projects throughout the UK?
This Principal Contractor are one of the fastest growing companies in the UK offering specialist solutions to the UK Infrastructure market. They focus on construction projects within the Highways, Energy, Rail, Aviation, Retail and Healthcare and private ‘one off’ schemes. From a Safety perspective, this provides an exciting challenge; creating and implementing a companywide Safety standard whilst also complying with the standards of blue-chip clients This is strategic role as well as Managerial, and you will report into the Board of Directors in regards to Safety Strategy, Incidents or near misses, KPI implementation and monitoring and Tender input (this is just the start)
This is a role for someone who still enjoys the ‘hands on’ element of Safety Management as part of your week will be spent visiting sites across the UK, liaising with Site Operations, various clients and Managing your team of Health and Safety Managers.
Believe it or not a critical aspect of this role is socialising… you will represent your company at Health and Safety conferences, Safety days and HSQE board workshops.
All in all, I am sure you will agree that this will be a role full of variety and opportunity to grow

If you are a Health & Safety professional looking to step up into a Senior role, or if indeed you are already in a similar role but not offered this type of variety or autonomy, I want to hear from you
Industry background is also important as this role will require a knowledge of the infrastructure industry, so if you have worked with in Civil Engineering in a Rail or Highways environment, I want to hear from you
This role will not be suitable if you aren’t prepared to travel UK Wide, as this is a national role A good central home location in the UK would be beneficial for the purposes of travelling East and West across the Midlands. Think of all the countryside drives to remote sites

Have Senior Health & Safety Management experience
Previously worked within a contractor environmental on Civil Engineering / Construction projects

Depending on experience this role offers a salary of up to £93,000 per annum with a company car (or allowance), Pension, Healthcare and many other fantastic benefits
