Reference: PL/25/327295 About The Role To lead and coordinate the integration of sustainability, net-zero carbon and climate resilience across the Combined Authority’s Asset Management function, turning strategic intent into deliverable programmes and measurable results. The role drives the Authority’s Climate Emergency commitments by setting clear pathways and standards across the asset lifecycle, managing environmental and climate risks, and ensuring every asset, new and existing, contributes demonstrably to local, regional and national targets. About The Person The successful candidate will be an accomplished sustainability professional with a strong track record in the built environment and the credibility to influence multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers. The postholder will gain senior visibility, tangible impact across a high-profile regional portfolio, and a supportive environment with flexible working and professional development. Experience implementing sustainability or climate initiatives in the built environment or public sector.
Understanding of funding opportunities such as Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) or Green Heat Network Fund.
Experience working in or with local authorities or combined authorities.
