ME Technician

E – Full Time, Permanent
 
Based at our head office in Morpeth, Northumberland.
 
We are looking for an experienced Technician who is able to provide support across a variety of work scopes within the oil and gas industry.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an emerging business supported by a large team of highly competent engineers to deliver projects in all aspects of flexible pipe asset integrity, manufacturing and testing.

The safe operation of all equipment at the worksite in accordance with relevant QHSE policies and procedures
· Working with The Impulse Group and/or customer equipment either Offshore or Onshore, independently or with supervision
· Setup of test equipment and rigs, including development of bespoke apparatus to suit testing requirements
· Performance of factory acceptance test (FAT) operations on The Impulse Group and/or customer equipment
· Performance of a range of testing activities focused on integrity of flexible pipe
· A skilled Technician with proven experience in the oil and gas or related industry, including experience of hydrostatic testing and annulus testing of flexible pipes
· Flexible approach to working, willingness to accept changing priorities
· Hands on experience in a mechanical role
 
Pressure testing experience
· Willingness to travel to customer sites locally or globally, sometimes at short notice.
 
Previous Experience with flexible pipe risers and annulus test kits would be a major advantage for this role.
· turning, drilling, milling grinding etc.
Basic Offshore Certification.
