Job Title: Quality Engineer Pay: £30-40 p/h DOE Type: 3-6-month contract role Location: Melksham, Wiltshire My client is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer on a 3-6-month contract basis, to support a new product introduction program within the business. They are a market leader within their industry and supply a global client base with their products. The main duties within the role will be: Provide specialist expertise in the application and deployment of APQP and metrics within the area. Quality contribution to early-phase concept work and supplier development. Management of the NPI & APQP process Ensuring launch readiness at component level for the introduction of change design/improvement Manage and drive process improvement activities as identified through job role. To be able to review and audit a process and its controls to identify areas for improvement, implement updates and ensure processes are made robust through Quality documentation controls (SOP's/Control Plans etc). To assist in collating all current safety, quality and rate issues to ensure our process and design teams reduce or eliminates risks through FMEA's/Control Plan creation and support these activities. The creation and updating of quality documentation (SOP's/Visual Stds/Control Plans etc). Conducting supplier audits and drive supplier improvements, process, component, and material opportunities.Skills/Experience required: Educated to degree level or have 5 years relevant experience in similar role. Supplier management experience. Knowledge of a variety of materials including Rubber & Plastic ideally. Qualified Auditor. ISIR and PPAP creation and reporting GMT and Metrology experience. Fully capable in use of metrology equipment such as CMM and vision systems.The role will involve travel outside of the UK, so you will require a valid passport. There is an immediate start available for the right candidate
