Jenrick Engineering are currently recruiting for a Foundry Technician on behalf of a leading foundry within the steel and iron castings industry. You will work closely with process and quality engineers, picking up new knowledge and skills.

Sand testing - complete hourly sand checks on both backing and facing sand (compactibility, green strength, permeability, moisture, mould hardness, wet tensile and sand temperature)
Provide technical data through laboratory testing of moulding sand used on the production line
Provide quality assurance that all the moulds will produce the desired casting quality
Collate all sand + Spectrographic analysis data on Excel for weekly Statistical (SCC) analysis
Metallurgical understanding encase cover required - Spectrographic analysis, micro-structure analysis and understanding the effects of alloying additions
Hours of work - Monday to Friday (Apply online only) day shift/(Apply online only) afternoon shift. Ability to review data and make the correct decisions using the collected data
Advantageous skills - FLT licence, lifting and slinging experience or First Aider
