Learning Support Assistant

Full-time Learning Support Assistant immediately required for a Wrexham based school that specialise in providing small group support to male and female learners across keys stages 2-5.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be patient, engaging and committed with regard to supporting pupils with varying additional and complex learning needs.
With this in mind, a calming, and reassuring influence is required to maintain a therapeutic, trauma informed way of practice to ensure all pupils are able to flourish.
This particular role will present you with a range of opportunities that involves supporting learners through a selection of classroom and outdoor based activities, that often take place both on and off school site and include activities such as archery, kayaking, forest school and dance.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
Help pupils access the curriculum by working with individual children, small groups or whole class.
Create a positive learning environment, providing support during activities.
Help with administrative tasks.
Follow school policies and procedures.
Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:
Experience working or volunteering with children or young people would be beneficial.
Registrations required to be a Learning Support Assistant:
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, as we cannot offer a work permit to any applicant or facilitate work permits for any vacancy on behalf of one of its clients.
