A diverse and skilled board of trustees for a newly formed charity like Filming For Charities (FFC) would have a significant impact Strategic Direction Trustees would define FFC's goals and develop a clear roadmap for success. Industry Credibility Trustees with film industry connections would enhance FFC's reputation and attract partnerships, sponsors, and donors. Fundraising Success Fundraising professionals on the board would implement effective strategies, cultivate donor relationships, and explore funding opportunities. Financial Stewardship Trustees with financial expertise would ensure sound financial management practices, stability, transparency, and accountability. Effective Governance Trustees with nonprofit governance experience would establish best practices, compliance, and good governance standards. Strategic Partnerships Trustees would leverage their connections to establish collaborations, access resources, and expand FFC's impact. Public Awareness and Engagement Trustees with marketing expertise would raise FFC's visibility, develop campaigns, and engage the public. Innovation and Adaptability Trustees with knowledge of emerging technologies and trends would keep FFC relevant and explore creative content creation strategies. Overall, this diverse board of trustees would bring expertise, networks, and resources to FFC, enabling it to achieve its mission, drive social impact, and succeed within the film and charity sectors. What are we looking for? For the Educational Partnerships and Community Engagement Trustee role at Filming for Humanity, we are seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in business development, office and administration management, or project and program management. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in building educational partnerships with schools, facilitating student and actor involvement in projects, and fostering community engagement in London, particularly in South West London where our head office is based. Key responsibilities include identifying and forming partnerships with schools and local communities, coordinating educational initiatives, and promoting community involvement in Filming for Humanity's projects. The Trustee will leverage their expertise to develop and implement strategies that enhance educational outreach and community engagement efforts. Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role. What will you be doing? Educational Partnerships Establishes collaborations with schools and educational institutions, facilitating the involvement of students or actors in the project, potentially on a voluntary basis. Develops initiatives to integrate educational aspects into the filmmaking process, fostering community engagement. Community Engagement Works on forming partnerships with local communities in London, involving them in the film project and ensuring a broader reach for Filming for Humanity within the community. Collaborates with community leaders and organizations to enhance the project's impact on local audiences.
