We are delighted to be working with The Sheffield College, renowned for its academic, vocational and professional education with an enduring commitment to transforming lives through learning. The college works with over 2,400 employers to respond to today’s changing skills agenda and is well placed to shape its service proposition accordingly both regionally and nationally. As one of the largest stand-alone colleges in England, we are seeking to appoint an experienced governance professional to work with the Board.
The successful individual will work with the Chair, Chief Executive/Principal and the Board, to ensure the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance are administered in line with best practice, whilst facilitating decision making and co-ordinating committees. You will take accountability for regulatory compliance, governor advice and recruitment and sourcing legal and legislative advice to mitigate risk and inform thinking.
We are seeking an experienced governance professional who has operated within a complex customer centric environment. You will have a wealth of experience working with and advising Boards to ensure effective governance and regulatory compliance is delivered whilst facilitating change. You will be an excellent communicator, with the capacity to influence senior leaders and be suitably hands-on to coordinate administration in a methodical and fastidious fashion.
