Darryl Mcgurk – Project Engineer – Ireland
I joined Action in October 2019 as a project engineer within the GWC division and I am currently based in Bahrain. Prior to moving to Bahrain, I spent 3 weeks at Action head office in Dubai where I completed my training within the office, workshop & project sites. This gave me a great insight into my role within the company as well as the high standard that is represented on a daily basis.
The idea of moving away from home may seem daunting at first, however the return from my decision to pursue this opportunity has been worth more than I ever could have expected. Bahrain also has a large Irish community along with a Gaelic football team which has been a huge benefit for me. It has been a great way to meet people that are in similar positions and make friends for life.
I would highly recommend this opportunity to any young graduate engineer that is looking for a challenging but rewarding environment to start their professional career.
