You'll play a key role in safeguarding our AWS cloud environment , ensuring our systems stay secure, resilient, and fully compliant with financial regulations. You'll bring real-world experience with security tools, threat detection, and incident response , helping us evolve and harden our defences every day. A background in a UK Financial Services company is essential, as is a strong grasp of infrastructure fundamentals across networks, servers, and cloud platforms. Implement and manage security controls across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments, aligning with frameworks like ISO 27001, PCI-DSS Support internal and external audits, helping maintain evidence, reporting, and demonstrating control effectiveness A solid track record working in cyber security operations, with real hands-on experience Strong familiarity with cloud platforms - especially AWS and Azure - and applying cloud security principles in live environments Experience in a UK Financial Services company is essential, with knowledge of relevant compliance standards (e.g., Hands-on expertise with Microsoft security tools - including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Microsoft Purview, Taegis, Z-Scaler or equivalents A strong infrastructure foundation - you should understand how networks, servers, and systems operate so you can secure them effectively Solid knowledge of network architecture and protocols, including the OSI model, and how to apply layered security Experience with vulnerability management, security assessments, and working within ITSM/ITIL frameworks Strong communication skills - you're confident translating technical risks into clear, actionable insights for different audiences A competitive salary and attractive benefits package including 33 days holidays including bank holidays upon commencement, with the ability to buy more or sell back.
