Private Client Solicitor

We are recruiting for a multi service firm with offices throughout London and the South.
They require an experienced private client solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE to work with their current clients.
Role:
- Take Private Client instructions and advise on the most appropriate course of action to meet client’s needs; taking appropriate action in executing clients’ instructions in a timely manner
- Deal with matters appropriately, including communication with clients over the telephone, by email and in face-to-face meetings, and with other solicitors and professional organisations over the telephone, by email and correspondence
- Prioritising your workload, maintaining accurate records of time spent on all activities, ensuring that bills are presented on time and that the agreed procedures within the Company relating to case management and file control are adhered to
- You will help to improve the department with regular reviews of the systems, controls and processes to determine whether they are fit for purpose as the environment and service delivery requirements change
- To achieve personal and team targets, audit and quality requirements, service level agreements (SLA), and key performance indicators (KPI)
- Maintaining professional competence through continuous professional development, and maintaining relevant training records which satisfy the current regulations and requirements as specified by The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
- Carry out business development activities acting as an ambassador for the firm, taking a proactive approach to building professional relationships with clients and other contacts
- Assisting in the supervision of junior solicitors, trainee solicitors, paralegals and supporting staff as required in accordance with your experience
About you
- PQE – 2+ years
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Good “hands-on” private client experience in Wills, Trusts, Lasting Power of Attorney and Trust and Estate Administration, with an ambition to develop your skills and qualifications in the areas of tax and STEP Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to nurture existing clients and third-party relationships as well as the ability to help develop new business and assist in networking events
- The ability to communicate complex legal matters in everyday terms
- Keen business development and networking skills
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills
- The ability to work as part of a team made up of legal and non-legal professionals
- IT skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and case management systems
